You can update certain information, such as Service Friendly Name and Department, to organise your services in a more user-friendly way in both the portal and on invoices. You can also specify this service's provisioning contact, whom our Service Delivery team will contact with service ordering updates.
Updating a Service's Friendly Name and/or Department:
- Log in to the portal and click Services
- Select the service you want to update
- In the Alias panel, enter the Friendly Name and/or Department you'd like to show in portal and on invoices
- Click Enter to auto-save, or press anywhere out of the text box and manually click the Save changes button.
- Your Friendly Name will now appear in the portal and on your invoices.
Updating a Service's Provisioning Contact
Updating the Provisioning Contact for a service is mostly the same as updating the Friendly Name/Department.
- Log in to the portal and click Services
- Select the service you want to update
- In the Provisioning Contact panel, start typing the name of an existing portal user, select the individual, and click Save changes.
- If the user you wish to select does not appear in the list, you can add the individual by clicking the ... button next to the input field and then clicking the user icon and entering the new contact's details. Note that this is separate to a portal user, and is used for the purpose of being listed as the provisioning contact for each specific service.
